Originating from Kinshasa, Elisabeth Bakambamba Tambwe enjoys breaking down boundaries and blurring the lines. Curious and eager, the artists travels from one universe to the next, from plastic arts to dance. She invites us into a world where we can reinvent ourselves. Her universe of creation rests upon a framework made up sometimes by the spirit of insects and animals, sometimes by the sole presence of puppets that come to life in a disturbing atmosphere, worthy of the world of tales. Influenced by the practice of traditional Guinean, Senegalese (Sabar), Afro-Cuban (Yoruba, Congo Arara) and contemporary dance, she founded “Kadencée”, an association of African dance in 1998, in which she developed particular relationship between dance, theatre, and percussion, and then in 2005, the company of contemporary “Dixit” dance.

After having followed the teachings of the Ecole Supérieure of the National Theatre of Strasbourg, under the direction of Jean-Pierre Vincent, she has played in Paris at the National Odéon Theatre, at the National Colline Theatre, at the “Comédie des Champs Elysées”, in Beaubourg, at the side of Bénichou, André Engel, Hélène Vincent, André Brassard and others, as well as in the decentralisation movement. She took a break of several years in order to join the Jean Richard Circus in an aerial acrobatic act. It was much later that she moved to Dunkerque and decided to set up, in 1996, the Northern Seas Theatre Company ( La Compagnie des Mers du Nord), for which she produces a repertory of deliberately comtempory writings, which drives her always to the edges where man runs up against a politically or geographically restraining environment.
Musically trained at the “Maîtrise de Radio France”, having graduated in Song and golden medal winner for choir direction at the National Conservatory of Lille, she has sung under the direction of Rachid Safir, Michel Piquemal and with the “Deller Consort” directed by Mark Deller. Since 1996 she has directed numerous choirs in the Parisian and Northern Callais regions. She created and directs the Childrens’ Choir of Montreuil and the vocal ensemble Ecco Voces (Lille).
In1976 Dory integrates into his father's ballet, "Amasimbi n'Amakombe", newly created by the latter. What attracts him to it is the dance of the warrior "Intor". In 1995, he publishes "Morembo" , in the name of his mother, killed during the genocide and joins the troupe of Peter Brooks ( Turno Bokar). One thing leads to another and "Urwintore" the theatre collective , born of Dorcy Rugamba's initiative enthusedby this meeting with Peter Broks, takes form.
The team works in true mercenary style, at the speed of a marathon. It's about producing the piece "l'Instruction" by Peter Weis, the recital of Jewish genocide, by a team of Rwandans. Two days in Kigali, ten in Brussels, are the prize for innumerable efforts.
French, living in Belgium, producer at the Royal Conservatory in Liège, Jacque Delcuvellerie founded in 1980 "Groupov" a multi-disciplined collective of artists, a company having the willingness to be an experimental theatre. In the 90's he developed the "Projet Véité" (Truth Project), a triptychconsisting of "Traxh"by Marie-France Collard, " L'Annonce fait à Marie" by Claudel and " La Mère" by Brecht. The common point in all these texts being the emphasis on beleif experienced as a truth capable of mobilising a person untill death. Presented for the first time in Avignon in 1999, Jacques Delcuvellerie created "Rwanda 1999", on which he worked for four years, the production bringing together "le Groupov" with literary and filmographic techniques. The work would be generally praised by critics and public alike. His new creation shown in Avignon is entitled " Anathème".
In reality, Brune Hongre, born in 1940, is a professor and French writer,a graduate of the " HEC ", and graduate of arts he chose his pseudonym more than 30 years ago to mark his independant work as writer, and distinguish it from his published didactic works under his own name. It was firstly interventionist theatre, which he discovered, in 1969, with Benoît Vitse, and that he practised collectively, most notably with the Printemps Theatre, as well as with syndicates, groups and parties, that appealed to Jean-Maurice Boudeulle up until the early 1980’s. It is as much his first theatrical productions in the Hemois district - as animator of the suburb - as the reflux of the social movement that made him renew the ties with the theatre of actors and texts. In 1983 he would become municipal theatre animator in Hemois. In 1986, he would create “The Adventure”, then in 1989, the Company. Motivated by the demand by comedians, children and adults, amateurs and professionals, of the Adventure or elsewhere, he continues to interrogate theatre, in its forms and in its texts, in its relations with the life of the city, by staging collages, adaptions of literary or dramatical texts, his own works (often drawn from actors' suggestions) or even works from repertory.
A child of “The Adventure”! He directs, produces and writes the plays of the “ Chapeaux d’roues” company, most notably “Ubu Roi”, and recently “The Very Lamentable Comedy”. During his formation as an actor at the Mons Conservatory in Belgium, he worked the choreography of the body and text as a rhythmically scored song. He trained in the aspects of arts of the clown and in the mask with Guy Ramet, old master of shadows, nourished by, amongst others Barba and Grotowsky, exacting the essence and fury of theatre, working the radiant presence and gesture of the actor. As a member of Maravila Bravo, an all locations theatre company, he has been researching for the past four years the emergence of an original format without words that attempts to touch everybody everywhere, creating a transversal language drawn from the clown, comedy, dance, and scat , the sonorous chorus, the monotonous chant for the voice. He created and directs the Cie Bakanal, which welcomes his current -“The Dream of a Summers’ Night”- and forthcoming productions. He is a producer, comedian, writer and musician (saxophone, piano, percussion, and slam-rap).
